Return window

You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to request a return or refund for most items. The 30-day grow-or-replace guarantee for seeds and plants starts on the date of delivery and ends 30 days later.

How to start a return

  1. Email us at returns@tendroot.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue. For damaged or non-germinating items, attach a photo.
  2. We'll respond within 1 business day with return instructions and (if applicable) a prepaid return label.
  3. Repackage the item securely. Drop off at the carrier location we specify, or wait for our pickup if we sent a label.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your refund or send a replacement within 5 business days.

Refunds

Exchanges

If you'd like to exchange an item (different size, color, or variety), email us at returns@tendroot.com. We'll process the exchange at no additional shipping cost within the continental US.

Damaged or defective items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We'll send a replacement at no cost. If the item is out of stock, we'll offer a refund or a comparable substitute of equal or greater value.

Grow-or-replace guarantee (seeds & live plants)

If your seeds fail to germinate despite following the printed instructions, or if a live plant fails within 30 days of delivery under reasonable care conditions:

  1. Email grow@tendroot.com with your order number and a photo of the failed seeds or plant.
  2. Include a brief note on your planting conditions (when sown, light, watering, temperature).
  3. We'll send a replacement of the same variety (or a comparable substitute if out of stock) at no cost within 7 business days.

This guarantee does not cover failure due to: improper storage before planting, planting outside recommended zones, frost, drought, flooding, wildlife damage, or failure to follow printed instructions.

Order cancellations

You may cancel an order within 2 hours of placement by emailing orders@tendroot.com. After 2 hours, the order may have entered fulfillment and cannot be cancelled β€” but you can return it per the terms above.

Gift cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced. Gift cards do not expire.

Wholesale and bulk orders

Returns and refunds for wholesale or bulk orders are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at wholesale@tendroot.com before placing the order to confirm return terms.
